Sept. 2/Sept. 5: Intro to Major World Religions

In class today, you will practice analytical writing in the first 20 minutes of class. The document you need for this is in your World History Drop Folder ("​Formative Analytical Response Writing - Belief Systems").   You will have 10 minutes to type a response to a question you pick (4 to choose from). Then you will select a 2nd question and have 10 more minutes to respond. Afterwards, you will highlight your responses to color-code them according to TEEA (this is on the document provided). You will also do a self-assessment of your writing as well as work with a partner for peer feedback on your writing.

After you complete the analytical writing practice, you will be put into a new group (there will be 5 groups). Your group will select one of the major world religions and begin to research that religion.

One member of your group will need to make a copy of the following Religions Poster Template and share it with your group members. Also, one group member will need to share the poster link using the Google Form link below.

Hw/Prep:

Research and take Cornell notes on your group's selected world religion. Take notes using the document provided for you in your WH Drop folder "Comparative World Religions - Student Notes".   You will discuss with your group what you have researched and learned in the next class.  Next class, your group will develop a Religions Poster (digital) and you will develop a presentation.
