May 11/12: Keep Researching...

5/11/2020

Check-in: How is your research going?

  • Where are you currently in your research progress?
  • What question are you currently working on? Is it a mid-level or high-level question?
  • WHY are you choosing to focus on this question right now?
  • How do you see your research in World History class tying in to what you are planning to do for English class?
  • How much more time to do you think you need to feel like you will be ready to try to answer your Primary/Key Research Question? -- Will you be ready to wrap your research up by sometime next week (or, maybe...possibly even this week)?
  • What are you discovering about your issue?  As a result of your research, have some of your thoughts about the issue shifted --or-- is your research deepening an existing idea you had about the issue?

Keep Researching...
What question are you working on? What's your next step?

After checking in and thinking about your research progress, what is the priority for you to focus on for the rest of today's class?

You are in control of what direction you want to go with your research!

You MAY have a one-on-one check-in with Mrs. Stewart about your research process, use of supporting research questions and documentation of notes.  As you work during the 1-hour block, just message Mrs. Stewart in your Breakout Room if you want to discuss your research.

Next class...

Next class time, we will resume work on the range of perspectives on one question you focused on to consider opinions/viewpoints on the issue.  You will expand from the "formative perspectives" document and add a 3rd perspective.  You will be given a new template/document to continue this work.  You will be able to copy/paste work from the formative into this document and then keep working on it summatively.

You will have 2 blocks to work on this before submitting it as summative work.
Details for this summative are posted in Schoology.

Summative Perspectives Due Dates:
A Blocks: Friday, May 15th
B Blocks: Monday, May 18th
