Today's class will focus on writing a strong, specific and compelling claim AND developing counterclaims to some of the other main causes of the conflict you are assigned.

You will work independently for most of the class time but will be partnering with someone NOT in your conflict group in order to provide each other feedback on your claim and counterclaims.

Your homework between now and your summative conflict debate is to research and take notes. You need to find reliable (academic-worthy) sources about your conflict and selected cause to help build an argument on the position you will have in the debate.
A Block classes: Summative Argumentative Speech (Debate) is Friday, March 10th
