critical friend check-in:

Today you will meet participate in another Critical Friend meeting. This time, with a different person from the first meeting.  Prior to meeting with your Critical Friend, please take a look at the following Research Portfolio exemplars:
  • Exemplars - Developing and Evaluating Supporting Questions (Google Doc)
  • Exemplars - Research Notes (collection from various research portfolios)
  • Exemplar - “Power” Student Research Portfolio
  • Exemplar - "Endangered Cultures" Research Portfolio 2017
  • Exemplar - "Endangered Cultures" Research Porfolio 2017 (Structured differently)

Class time: continue research...

Keep researching.
Work independently and quietly.
Stay focused.

HW: Keep researching...

At this point, you should have at least 6 sources. If not, get caught up.  If you do, keep pushing further to gather more data, a wider variety of evidence (different perspectives, literary sources, different types of data/evidence such as images, statistics, quotes, etc.)
