THIS MEANS YOUR FOCUS IS ON LIFE AFTER THE REVOLUTION.
At this point, you should have concluded your research on cause(s) of your revolution, the process of how revolutionary changes were brought about and by whom (revolutionary figures and key individuals and groups involved in the revolution). Today is the last day you will work on the investigation in class. If you do not finish Step 5 in class today, you will need to complete this for homework, along with steps 6 and 7 this week. Wednesday's class will be spent working on your revolutions poster. Be sure you are checking the criterion strands to ensure your work reflects your best effort to achieve the highest MYP level. Now, you'll look at life during the revolution & investigate the revolutionary figure(s) that played a key role in the process of changes that occurred during this revolution.
Helpful links during this investigation:
Today's class you should focus on investigating the "process" of how your selected revolution occurred. your questions should be about "how...?" and "who...?"
You should consider key individuals and groups involved in the process of bringing about revolutionary changes. And possibly counter-revolutionary groups (people who tried to stop or slow down the revolution). What actions were taken by groups or individuals to help bring about fast changes that ultimately occurred as a result of the revolution? Was technology or new innovation part of the process? What methods were used by people to bring about change? Process also might involve looking at a timeline... what happened & when? Then what happened after that? And then...?
The questions you'll need to ask to understand process differ for each revolution since some revolutions are social, political, economic, technological, environmental--they all had different causes, happened at different times in history and may have happened as a result of natural chain reactions or by very intentional and highly orchestrated efforts by people involved. But this is what you should spend time today investigating. You will be asked to partner up mid-way through class today to share with a partner what you have learned --or are learning about the process of your revolution. You are expected to show your partner what notes you have related to "process" of revolutionary change. |
