Have fun watching!

While you watch videos, I'll be checking your "Cultures in Conflict" journal notes from this week's homework reading assignment. Please have your journal out so I may check and give feedback.

Today, you and your partner(s) will take your research data and design an informational poster to educate others about your selected indigenous group.
Here is a link to the research presentation: Culture Quest Instructions (Presentation)
  • Remember it is important to balance information and text. It should be visually appealing but also contain details about their culture traits and ways of living.
  • Be sure to check the criterion and task-specific clarification (look at the checklist!)
  • Yes, this is formative, not summative!

Today you will continue your group research on your selected Indigenous Culture Group.

Please be sure you and your partner(s) are doing the following during the research phase:
  • completing the Group Research Template provided to you
  • checking the criterion and task descriptions.

While this is formative research, practicing and following the same steps you would do for a summative will help you better prepare for ... well, the next time you do this--which will be a summative. Not to worry about that now. Focus on this for now.

I hope your group really enjoy learning about this culture!

When you have finished with your research...
you and your partner(s) may begin working on your digital poster. Remember no white space and you must have your final product approved before printing (no wasting paper due to typos!)
