Today we will begin our focus on ancient China and how geography played a factor in the development of China's ancient civilization. We will examine how different ancient dynasties in China overcame geographic challenges and used China's geography to their advantage. Today, you will present within your group about what you have learned of the Roman Empire. You have 1 minute to demonstrate what you have learned through your specific task you selected within your group. Your group will have 15 minutes of class time to prepare and practice. After all presentations, you will spend 15 minutes summarizing in a Google Doc what you understand about the Roman Empire in a writing task called "So What, Big Deal!" You are asked to look back through your notes and then type a brief summary of what you understand about the significance (importance) of the Roman Empire. You will submit your writing and add an image file of your task (timeline, graph, overview of contributions, or social hierarchy) to your writing.
