HW: Complete the practice frq "School's out for summer"

See paper handout given to you in class for the actual writing prompt.
A handwritten hardcopy response on lined notebook paper is due at the beginning of next class.

Directions:
You have 25 minutes to complete the following question. It is suggested you take up to 5 minutes of this time to plan and outline your answer and then 20 minutes to write your response.  While a formal essay is not required, it is not enough to answer the question by merely listing facts. Illustrate your answer with examples where appropriate. Be sure that you number your answer, including individual parts as the question is numbered below.  Please read the FRQ Tips and Tricks prior to setting the timer and beginning your writing.
FRQ Tips & Tricks (PDF)
Also, refer to these
guidelines for FRQ action words (directives)

STEPS TO TACKLING THIS FRQ:

  • Read the entire FRQ.
  • Underline all directive words (these are action words like “describe, explain…).
  • Make a brief outline of what you will write.  This can be done using brainstorming and bullet format.
  • Complete the FRQ. Each section (there are 3 sections -- A,B,C) is weighted differently. See the points at the end of the sentence to see how much it is worth. The entire FRQ is worth 7 possible points.
  • As you write: when you complete any sentence/thought ask yourself how, when, where, what, and why to thoroughly answer the question.
