Oct. 31: formative MCQ on folk/pop culture, Candy culture & cultural appropriation

After today's formative MCQ on Folk & Pop Culture, you will participate in a simulation called "Candy Culture" in which you will be expected to follow your cultural norms while trying to interact with diverse cultures.  Afterwards, we will discuss the experience and then watch the TEDTalk "Danger of a Single Story".

We will wrap up today's class with a quick look at cultural appropriation, especially with regards to Halloween costumes.
