Week 7: watch "2 POVs on crusades" video; complete venn diagram; Due Friday Feb. 26th @ beginning of class

2/25/2016

This week, you will take a look at historical perspective and bias and analyze two different accounts of historical events. We will use The Crusades as an example of how we can recognize when people's own viewpoints have affected how we tell historical stories. You are asked to watch the video in the Crusades presentation and complete the Venn Diagram separating out the European Christian viewpoint of The Crusades from the Arab Muslim perspective. Record the facts (not opinions) in the middle.

Use the questions in the video to guide your exploration and understanding of the biases found in both video excerpts but you are not expected to record written responses to each question the video asks--we will work on the questions during class on Friday.

Use the textbook as a source to help support the facts section of your Venn Diagram.
