Today, we will hear the first of the GOOD History presentations. Afterwards, you will make your TOP 5 Endangered Cultures selection using the link below.
For most of today's class, you will be working with a group and moving to various stations to examine various historical "artifacts" about ancient trade. Use these to try to gain a better understanding of what regional trade looked like prior to globalization, paying attention to the nature of interactions between various societies, and how this increased their contact with other cultures, contributed to cultural diffusion, interdependence, conflict, innovation, sharing of ideas, exploitation and conquests. These relationships and connections by early civilizations is what predates and set the stage for globalization.
